Review: Sally Hansen Salon Effects!

Hey guys! I'm back! Sorry for the lack of updates for a while! I have been dealing with some medical issues and haven't been feeling quite like myself lately. After a week I finally feel a tad bit more like myself and I am trying to get back in the groove of my reviews and video's.

I am planning on filming tomorrow for my Youtube channel so stay tuned! I have a updated Skincare video coming up!

But back to the issue at hand. I am finishing up on all my Influenster reviews. It was such a blessing to have such a great voxbox and now I received an email that I would be receiving the Summer Beauty Voxbox! Woo! Thanks Influenster!

Included in my Spring Beauty VoxBox were the  Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Decals. I was very iffy about trying them out. I have tried some in the past and I was disappointed with them. However, I was willing to try them again.

So here is my experience with them.

So to start out, I loved the Kiss Nail Decals in my previous VoxBox. I was quite impressed with those so I was hoping these would live up to the expectations. The designs in the included brochure were very nice. I loved all the designs. The price on them is about $9.99 so a bit steep. The Kiss Decals were cheaper.

The design I got was Kitty, Kitty. I love animal print so that is a big plus.

So upon opening it, there were many nail decals, an orange stick, and a file. As well as instructions. I followed the instructions and got the above result.

So here is the good and bad of it all.

The pro's are: I liked he designs. That's really about it.
The cons are: The sizes on these nails were totally off. I couldn't find a size to fit. The only one that fit was my pinky and even that was too small. The sizes are all almost the same and did not fit my nails well.
They were aggravating to apply. They were hard to place on the nail, they were flimsy, and they got stretched out easily and messed up.
The price is too high. I love Sally Hansen products but for $10 I would expect better results. At about $5.99 would be a more fitting price.

I have to say I was still disappointed. They were just not for me. I thank Influenster for the opportunity to try them! I still think I will stick to the Kiss Nail Decals though. : (

I hope you all found this review helpful! Stay tuned for further updates!

Update on EVERYTHING!

What is up my home skillets? It's been a while since I sat down and just wrote a blog type entry so I wanted to take the chance while I was sitting here to do so.

So first off....hope you guys are doing well! I try to update my blog, pinterest, and Youtube as often as I can. And it's hard at times but I make time.

So as you all know, I started a new job a while ago as a Dietary Aide and it's been tough. I swear I work like a horse. I leave work feeling exhausted. I hate to say it but I am almost reconsidering if this job is right for me at times. I just have never felt so exhausted, drained and tired in my life. And it's taking a toll on me...it's been triggering panic attacks for me. As well as stressing me to the point of where I just don't feel like myself. I have never felt like this before.

Secondly, I have started college. Yep I am back in school. I am attending Penn Foster College online and so far I really like it. It's challenging and I love being able to do my school work whenever I want and when it's convenient for me. I am going for my associates degree in medical assisting. So yea me! I got a 90 on my first exam already. Woo!

I just feel lost in everything. I don't get to go out as much as I used to because me and my fiance get up so early. We get up at 5 am. I mean I am glad to have a job and I am more financially stable which is great but I just really feel worn down.

Working on my Youtube videos and blog is pretty much what kinda relaxes me and helps me concentrate and feel more like myself. Well and being with my fiance..he always makes me feel better.

Sorry this wasn't the best of notes to start a post on but I had to get some things off my chest and just vent I guess.

Stay tuned for new videos coming up! I am working on some goodies for you all!

Soft Lips for Summer! A ChapStick Lip Shield 365 Review!

The weather sure has been a lot warmer lately, winter is definitely gone! I have slowly been making my way through the stash of Influenster Voxbox products I am to test. Honestly...I have been so exhausted with my job I hardly have the energy to test products sometimes. I have two days off this week and I was feeling up to a little testing finally. My lips were feeling a little dry today...maybe it was because I went tanning. Maybe it was the cold damp weather today. I have no idea.

I reached for the new ChapStick in my voxbox. The ChapStick Lip Shield 365 lip balm. I had never seen it in the store before. I mean I had seen regular lip balms but not this particular kind. It struck me as different because not only did it moisturize dry lips but it also protected your lips from the elements. Whether it was cold weather and blistering winds or hot dry weather, it even had SPF 50+. This seems like a great idea because here in my state of Kentucky the weather changes daily. One day it's hot and sweltering and the next day it's cold and damp. Just like today. LOL.

The packaging is really nice. It's colorful and grabs attention. The scent of the ChapStick is nice...it kind of smells like lemonade! I was expecting just a regular plain kind of smell but this smells nice and citrus-like. I applied it to my lips and it made the quite smooth and I have to say it kind of tasted nice when I licked my lips. : ) My lips are so dry that I had to reapply a few times to achieve a longer lasting moisturized feeling. However I was quite pleased. My lips definitely felt smoother and less dry.

So here are the cons.: ChapStick is always affordable ranging anywhere from $1-2 usually. It had a pleasant smell and taste. It just overall did what it is meant to do.

The con for me was that I had to reapply a couple times because my lips were so dry. I think however on your average set of lips this would probably be great for keeping your lips soft. A more healing balm would be better for very dry chapped lips but this would do great for keeping them soft. So would I repurchase this? Of course. I would recommend this to all my lip balm addicted friends!

Thanks to Influenster for providing it in my voxbox! If you haven't joined Influenster you should www.influenster.com. Also be sure to enter my giveaway on my channel: www.youtube.com/lilmssusieq02
