Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day!!!

That's been my song all morning. The heavy rain and thunder woke me up this morning and I haven't been able to get back to sleep since it seems.

So whats a girl to do on a poopy day like this. Don't have work today so I have literally a whole day to spend being bored and trying to amuse myself.

Well I worked on a video for my YouTube. Should be posting it fairly soon. It's a cute Lady Gaga inspired gold and plum lip tutorial.

Also my giveaway is going on as we speak....and will be ending March 3. So looking forward to picking a winner!

I have had the Stereo Love song by Edward Maya stuck in my head since 2 days ago. I literally cannot get it out of my head. It is permanently embedded in my brain. And I don't even know the words really so I just faintly hear the singing and the little beat with the accordion sounding instrument in my head. Over and over.

Muffin, my dog, refuses to get up off the couch and won't even turn to look at me when I walk around. Apparently she is not going to be of any company today.

Baking a cake would be fun...if I only had some icing. Or cream cheese to make icing anyhow.

I really don't like watching much tv so that's outta question.

It's nearing noon maybe I can fix some lunch.

Well anywho...I'll be busy trying to find something to do today. Check out my YouTube for my latest video! And don't forget to join in the Giveaway going on now!

Toodles!

My Newest Favorite Mascara!

A girl changes her opinion's about mascara as often as she breathes it seems. Lol. And I am no different! I have long been a mascara fanatic and I love me a good mascara at all times! I feel like I have always tried all the oldies but goodies, Lash Stiletto, Lash Blast, Grow Luscious, etc...etc...the list goes on. So I feel I have a pretty good opinion on mascara's!

So that's where my current favorite comes in, mark. Lash Splash Mascara.

I recently purchased this and I have to say I have been thrilled with it. I decided to check out the last chance section on mark.'s site and I saw this there for $1.99. Not sure of the usual price. But I was beyond sold right there and then when I read it was Waterproof too...I was down!

The one nice thing about this mascara is the unique packaging. You can buy this by itself and simply leave packaging as is, or if you purchase another hook-up such as eyeliner or lip glosses you can simply connect the two by a small hookup piece which usually runs .50 cents or sometimes is free when you purchase two hookup's anyhow. It's nice to have them hook together because for one it's convenient and it saves space in my makeup bag and I got two things in one place.

Also this mascara is waterproof as I mentioned which is very wonderful because my eye's tend to get watery ALL THE TIME and so a good mascara that won't run is essential for me! I even took my dog out on a windy day and my eyes watered up and this mascara never ran.

But perhaps my all time favorite thing about this mascara is the brush wand it comes with. The brush is about medium size, and small enough to get into all those tiny lil lashes but still can be used on a large area at once. The bristles though are spaced just so that it gets into every single lash. It distributes the product evenly and does not clump one bit. It isn't exactly for lenghtening but it provides such a nice natural and glamorous look to my lashes. They look how they would be meant to look. They are spread evenly and not clumped. Longer and more volumized but not fake looking and spidery! And I like my lashes that way!

I like this mascara more then drugstore mascara's I have tried. It's like that mascara you would find in Sephora or a dept store, but much more affordable.

I give this product a A+. It's going to be a favorite of mine for long to come I am sure!

If you are interested in purchasing this or other mark. products please check out my good friend and mark. rep Shareka's site. She is super helpful and will be able to recommend products best for you! And give mark.'s mascara's a try! They r awesome!

Do It Yourself: Clarifying Green Tea Scrub & Yard Sale Update!!!

Hello to everyone! Thanks for reading!
So my last Do It Yourself post was quite a hit. I had many people comment on it here as well as on my Facebook. So I wanted to share another one of my favorite DIY tips. I am a big DIY girl if you can't already tell! Most importantly many natural foods and such are much better for using on your skin then products in the store! They have no harsh chemicals, no artificial ingredients, and you can make them in bulk and it's so much cheaper!

So as some of you may know from watching my channel I have very sensitive and acne prone skin. It's also quite dry in certain areas and also oily in others. I have to use acne cleansing products for the most part but I do have several recipes I also use for taking care of my skin. Especially when it comes to exfoliating.

So lets get started and I will show you all one of my favorite scrubs! You can use this on any skin type but it is especially helpful with sensitive or acne prone skin.

To start off you will need to get a small bowl to mix items in, as well as a small container to store any left over product for future use. You will also need a tea kettle, green tea either loose or bagged, and a small amount of honey. As well as a small amount of plain white sugar.

Start by brewing a cup of green tea. Make sure to let the tea cool down fully before using and mixing in the bowl. You can store it in the fridge for an hour or so and it should cool down nicely.

Once your tea is cool you can strain it if you had loose green tea or you can simply leave the tea bits in the scrub. It doesn't make a difference either way!

Next pour your green tea into a small mixing bowl. Take your honey and pour about a tablespoon of honey into the tea.Any kind of honey will do.

Now take your plain white sugar and pour about a cup into the green tea. Mix. The tea and sugar should thicken up. However if it is still runny pour more sugar in until the tea becomes thick, like a scrub or mask. It should not be very drippy.

After mixing I like to let the mixture sit in the fridge for about 30 mins to cool. The scrub feels great after a hot day outside when it's nice and cool from being in the fridge.

You can use this scrub once or twice a week. The green tea is full of antioxidants. It helps clarify skin and treats redness and swelling. It helps with creating a more glowy skin color as well. The honey in the scrub is excellent for acne. It not only is a natural antiseptic that kills bacteria but also rejuvenates skin and can take the redness from acne and tone it down. Lastly the sugar serves as a natural scrubbing bead to exfoliate dead skin cells and make skin soft and clean!

This is one of my all time favorite face scrubs to use. It's natural, never makes me breakout, and it's easy to store. Simply put the rest of the product in an airtight container and store in the fridge for further use. The mixture should last about 2 weeks in the fridge.

Now....as for our yard sale day today. It started out being a rough morning. As soon as I woke up it was thundering and then raining something awful. It was a pretty bad storm. However it did clear up and I ended up having my sale in the garage. Profits were small but decent. I sold many things I didn't need and I got a little extra money in my pocket. So all was well!

Product I Love: Rimmel Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara & The Yard Sale of Yard Sales

Hello to all my lovelies! Thanks so much for reading!
Today I wanted to share with you all one of my favorite products. I got it about a month ago after needing a new mascara and wanted to try this one out. It's the Rimmel Glam'Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara.

This is actually the first Rimmel mascara I have purchased. I have long loved Rimmel products. They are always good quality and quite affordable however when it came to mascara's I never gravitated towards Rimmel. My last favorite mascara was actually by Maybelline. The Lash Stiletto Mascara was my long stand by mascara. It was waterproof, humidity proof, and not clumpy. Once it ran out I was ready to try something new and I wasn't about to spend a ton of money on it. I was eager to try out another drugstore brand mascara.

So I purchased this Rimmel mascara. I like to use the Extreme Black color however there are other color options available. I was intrigued with the two brush mascara system. This product features one brush for a daytime look that has length and defined lashes. As well as a volume brush for a more sultry, thickened, nighttime look.

The length side of this mascara unscrews from the very top. It has a quite long brush which is a good thing for the most part. The brush is thin and picks up a small amount of product. Perfect for just a small application before heading out to work or a lunch outing. When applied it does create a more lengthy look. Does not come on thick at all. I think it could actually apply a little more for my taste so I find myself having to apply more the one coat. I like the length of the brush handle as well but at times it can get a little annoying trying to position it correctly when using on my lashes because it's a little hard to manouver.

The volume side is quite shorter and unscrews under the length brush. It's not much bigger in size then the length brush but picks up quite a lot more product. I prefer using this side much more then the length side in most occasions because I like that thicker eyelash look. It applies a lot more product and often times one coat is enough for me.

The mascara itself is a nice black color. It's thick but it does not weigh my lashes down by any means. I find that it lasts quite well through the day without needing to be reapplied. There isn't any fallout from the product nor is there any running of the mascara on a humid day or night. Though this mascara is not waterproof it does hold up quite well under situations where it might rain or what not.

I believe the price is about $6.00 and is available at most all drugstores. The reason this has become one of my favorite products is because it's an all in one. You can create two different looks and go from work to night out in no time. It's afforable and personally I like the design of it. I like being able to tinker with the brushes and I like the bright pink and black colors. : )

So if you're in the market for a new mascara you need to try this out!

As for the Yard Sale of Yard Sales, this weekend is Yard Sale Day in my neighborhood. We have one once a year and it's quite busy. This year all the surrounding neighborhoods are having their yard sale day the same day so it's going to be like a yard sale bonanza around here! Lol. And as I have for the past 3 years I will be having my yard sale. Last year I made about $200 in sales and I am hoping to make the same or more this year. I am nearly at my goal for my Macbook and with the money I make from my yard sale this will be going towards that. So I am excited to have my channel back up and running soon and make new video's! I am going to take some pictures and let you guys in on a little backstage pass that day and blog about it. It's going to be fun and thrilling!

Update! & DIY: How to Make Your Own Eyeshadow Primer

Hello my lovelies! I hope you all have been doing well and staying cool with all this hot weather we have been having.

So I've been mainly trying to stay cool, riding with my fiance and friends on the Ninja, and also just working. I've been working as much as I can to save up for my new Macbook Pro. I am actually not too far from getting it now. I literally need only about $400 more to go. I can't wait to get back to making videos and my subscribers. I love my subbies! It's tough to watch my youtube friends making videos and I must sit by and watch. So I am ready to get back to making videos!

So todays post is going to be a DIY project for you all!

Eyeshadow primer is a must have for makeup application. It creates a base to work with and brightens the colors and allows for smoother application of eye makeup. As well as making your eye makeup last longer! And in these hot summer months that's important!

I have bought many primers in the past. Though they worked great they were usually pricey and I had to buy them often. So I decided to start making my own. Not only did it work just as good as the one's I used to buy but I could make more anytime I needed! So I want to share the recipe with you all!

First off here is the products you will need!

You will need a small container or tub to put and mix your primer in.

Also you will need a good body butter. If you are sensitive to fragrances I would recommend a unscented one.

And lastly you will need foundation makeup. You can use the one you usually use on your face for this.

Firstly clean out your tub. Make sure it is clean and dry.

Next fill about half of the tub with some body butter.

Using the foundation pour in a few good size drops.

Using a toothpick or small mixing tool mix the foundation and body butter. When you are finished mixing it should look like concealer you would use on your face but a little thicker. It should be thick and spreadable and not runny.

And that's it! You can try some out to make sure the color is correct on you. Simply keep the tub covered with the lid when you are not using the product and it should last a few months for you! And anytime you run out you can simply make more!

You will only need a small pea size amount on your lids before applying your eye makeup.

I hope this is helpful and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me!

Please subscribe to my youtube channel! You will be thrilled!

Product Test Drive: Nivea Touch of Sparkle Body Wash

Hello lovelies! For this Product Test Drive I have been trying out the new Nivea Touch of Sparkle Body Wash. I purchased it at Walmart for $3.00 on sale.

This body wash promises a light floral scent and a hint of sparkle on your skin. I was actually pretty excited to try it out because I love the look of clean glowy sparkly skin. I had a product from Jergen's a long time ago that was a lotion infused with sparkle. It was one of my favorites.

So the scent of the body wash was lovely. It promises a White Calla Blossom Scent. It smelled very fresh and floral. My entire bathroom smelled wonderful afterwards. My skin felt soft and hydrated and definitely not dried out.

I was looking for the little specks of sparkle but I didn't see any. The body wash promises a sparkle due to the infusion of Diamond Powder in the body wash. I didn't see any difference as far as sparkle was concerned. I have to say I was a bit disappointed. I was really hoping Nivea pulled through with that portion.

The scent stayed on my skin for hours after showering. At least 2-3 hours. My skin felt smooth as well.

The product was great. I loved the scent, and I loved the stay power of the fragrance. I also loved how it made my skin feel. And the container it comes in is a pretty large size for $3.00. However the lack of sparkle really ruined the experience for me.

So I will give this product a rating of- C-

All was great and it was a really nice body wash to use, especially where hydration is concerned. However if you're looking for that subtle glow...you won't find it here. You're better off dipping yourself in a vat of glitter. : )

Stay tuned for the next Product Test Drive!

OOTD: Going Out & Sunless Tan Update

Hello my lovelies! So I know I haven't shared the pictures from my sunless tanning experiment. Personally I didn't even want to take pictures of it! Lol.

So the verdict from my experiment using the Salon Bronze Airbrush Tan System.
Score: D

The actual gun itself was quite easy to use. It was quick, had a good spraying mist, and the color showed up quickly.

Bad points.....

1- This took way too long to dry. I sat waiting for it to dry for about 10 minutes and it wasn't even close to being dry. I waited another 10 minutes and it was a little drier so I went ahead and put on my pj's. Bad idea, apparently it still wasn't fully dry and so I stained my clothes, the bed, and everything else.

2- Soon after using and I mean 15 minutes after I put on my clothes the tan was wearing off. I could take my finger and rub it across my wrist once and the color would come off. I already knew at this point this was a bad idea.

3- The day after the tanning people did notice I was tanner. They said the color looked good. It wasn't orange but an actual tan color. Which was nice.

4- As soon as I took a shower the next day most of the product washed off in the shower. I could actually see the color in the water going down the drain. When I got out to dry I noticed huge splotches of missing color on me and large patches where the color washed off.

5- Two days after I looked a patchy mess. We had went out to a Bike Night event and even my fiance's friends noticed my discolored look. They told me I looked like an Oompa Loompa and commented on my splotchy botched tan look. It wasn't really too bad, once I explained to them about my experiment with sunless tanning spray they understood.

6- Today about a week later some of the color is still on me and in patches. I have tried to scrub it off with no luck. But other area's the color is gone completely.

So I have decided to never use this product again.
I will say however that to date the best tanning product I ever used was Banana Boat's Deep Dark Color Tanning Lotion. It stayed on for a max of about 3-4 days before getting splotchy and the color looked just as nice. The price on that lotion is about $9 at Walmart.

So moving on here are some pictures from yesterday and my outfit of the day!
By the way, I am halfway to getting my Macbook Pro and being able to start making my video's again!!!!!! Yes!

Wearing my jeggings I got from Marshalls. These are made by American Eagle. $14.00

Shirt by Lot29 from AJ Wright. $12.00

This is the full outfit. The shoe's are by Wild Diva and I purchased them at Dots. $12.00

My Sunless Tanning Episode Part 1

I've been fooling around with sunless tanning sprays/lotions a lot lately. With having to cut back on my spending because of saving for my Macbook Pro I haven't been able to go tanning anymore.

Yes....I know tanning beds are bad and can cause cancer. So preach no more.

However I'm old enough to make my own decisions and do what I want. But because of finances for now tanning sprays will have to do. I am thinking of doing a video on my channel about my favorite and least favorite tanning sprays.

So I tried a new one today. I bought the Salon Bronze at home airbrush tanning system at Sally's Beauty. It was $12.99. Refills are $8.99 I thought it would be worth a shot.

It promises no orange color, no streaking, and a natural looking and long lasting tan.

So my fiance Bilal put it on. We spent about 15 minutes applying it. It was freezing cold, let me tell you. The way it sprays is a nice mist which is easy to use. And the color is immediate. And there is no weird "fake tan spray" smell.

Now....there was bad points too. For one on my tummy area and my arms I have lil peach fuzz hairs that everyone has. Well the spray got stuck to these little hairs and clumped up on them. When we blotted them the color rubbed off. It took several tries and it still doesn't look quite right in a certain spot. Also it I even touched a spot on accident the color seemed to come off on my hand. So I am worried about showering tomorrow and hoping it doesn't all come off. Guess I will see.

I was going to take a few pictures of the tanning process since I am not able to make video's at the moment however it's late and I look a hot mess so I will update tomorrow with results of my shower test and maybe a few pictures.
